THE COMPETITION
Mrs. Intercontinental is an international competition established in 2023 for adult women aged 22 to 65 years, including those who are married, divorced, widowed, or in long-term partnerships, who have demonstrated distinction through professional achievement, entrepreneurship, cultural contribution, charitable activity, or public engagement. The competition was founded in Europe and is developed through ongoing international participation. It operates as a structured platform through which eligible participants are admitted to represent their respective countries, professions, cultural backgrounds, and personal achievements. Participation constitutes acceptance of the principle that delegates are assessed on the basis of overall merit within defined age categories. These categories are as follows: Mrs. Intercontinental (22–45 years) and Mrs. Intercontinental Elite (46–65 years). Evaluation within each category is conducted in accordance with a unified framework. Assessment criteria include, without limitation, professional standing, communication ability, public presentation, community involvement, personal conduct, and representational capacity. The process is designed to ensure that selection reflects credibility, responsibility, maturity, and consistency of public profile. The titleholder of Mrs. Intercontinental is appointed as an official international ambassador of the Organisation for a fixed term of one year. During this term, the titleholder shall represent the Organisation at official functions and may be engaged in activities aligned with its cultural, educational, charitable, and humanitarian objectives.
MISSION & INSPIRATION
The vision of Mrs. Intercontinental is informed by examples of women whose professional trajectory demonstrates that public recognition and personal achievement may serve as a foundation for long-term contribution to society. This includes individuals such as Rosy Senanayake, whose transition from international recognition in the field of pageantry to leadership roles in business, philanthropy, and public service illustrates the potential for sustained civic engagement beyond initial public visibility. Such examples reflect the principle that achievement is not an endpoint, but a platform for broader responsibility, institutional involvement, and service-oriented leadership within national and international contexts. Mrs. Intercontinental draws inspiration from these trajectories in defining its commitment to recognising women whose influence extends into public life, community development, and humanitarian leadership.
SOCIAL PROJECT
The competition places strong emphasis on social responsibility and actively supports the individual initiatives of its delegates. During their participation, delegates implement and promote their own social projects focused on areas such as education, environmental protection, healthcare, and community development. Each delegate represents a personal social mission, contributing to positive and sustainable change within their communities, regardless of country of origin. All socially active delegates present their projects at a dedicated Gala Dinner, where initiatives are showcased through a short video presentation of 3–4 minutes. An international jury panel recognises and awards the most impactful projects, based on relevance, sustainability, and social contribution.
